Warwood Tool 3.75 lb Pulaski Axe, 36" safety grip handle, 902, 810079923618Developed in 1911 by legendary U.S. Forest Service ranger and firefighter Ed Pulaski, the tool that now bears his name has been called “the supreme fire tool” and is nearly synonymous with wildland firefighting.Combining an axe on one end of the head and a mattock blade on the other, the Pulaski is equally effective for chopping trees and logs and for digging in hard or root-bound dirt. That, combined with its relatively light weight, makes it ideal for cutting firelines in remote areas. Those same qualities make the Pulaski supremely useful and versatile for homeowners, landscapers, hunters, and others too. The Pulaski can dig trenches, build trails, clear plots, chop firewood, and innumerable other tasks around the yard, on the farm, or in the woods. The Warwood Tool Pulaski Axe is made according to the time-honored Forest Service specification, with a 3-3/4 lb. head and overall head length of 13”. Unlike many imports and lesser alternatives, the head of our Pulaski is not simply “twisted” 90 degrees to form the mattock end.We take pride in hand-forging our top-quality U.S.-made tools from U.S.-sourced steel in our West Virginia shop the same way they’ve been made since 1854.Quick SpecsDrop-forged, carbon steel head3-3/4 lb. head13” head lengthBlack finishConfigurationsTool only36” American hickory36” American hickory with proprietary safety grip

Warwood Tool 8 lb Spike Maul (Standard Pattern), 36" safety-grip handle, 382, 810079920136Standard pattern spike mauls differ from the more widely used bell pattern mauls in that they are roughly square in cross section, rather than cylindrical like a bellow pattern maul. Like bell pattern mauls, though, they are designed for a single job: driving railroad spikes into ties.Although a variety of spiking machines have largely replaced hand tools, spike mauls are still widely used for spot work and to set spikes ahead of mechanical spikers. The Standard Pattern Spike Maul has a large 1-1/4” striking face and a smaller 3/4” striking face. Its head is 12” in length and is available in 8 lb. and 10 lb. weights. Warwood Tool 3 lb Straight Pein Driving Hammer, 16" hickory handle, 12451, 810079920587Less widely used than cross pein hammers but equally effective in many applications, straight pein hammers have a pein (the end of the head opposite the striking face) oriented parallel to the handle. In blacksmithing, the pein is used to draw out and spread material, particularly in situations where a cross pein hammer would put the smith’s knuckles close to hot metal. Cross pein hammers are also commonly used for general heavy hammering duties, striking punches and chisels, driving stakes, and breaking and shaping stone and masonry. The Straight Pein Driving Hammer’s round, chamfered face strikes hard but safely, and the beveled pein minimizes marking of workpieces. Top-quality, U.S.-sourced high carbon steel and American hickory make this a lifetime tool.Since 1854, Warwood has proudly made the world’s finest forged tools for the railroad, mining, construction, oil and gas, agriculture, forestry and fire fighting industries.Quick SpecsDrop-forged, carbon steel head3 lb. headWarwood Blue finishConfigurationsTool only16” American hickory handle

Warwood Tool 5/16" Tip Broad Head Bull Pin, 1-1/4" swell x 13" length, 33820, 810079922499The primary use for our Broad Head Bull Pins is aligning bolt holes in steel frame construction and railroad work. When holes on two pieces to be bolted together don’t line up exactly, the bull pin is inserted through them and — if necessary — pounded in until they align. Then a bolt is inserted into a neighboring hole. The same method is used in assembling scaffolding, lighting trusses, and other metal structures fastened with bolts or rivets.Bull pins have proven valuable for innumerable “off-label” uses too, such as bolting automotive transmission bell housings to engines. Almost anywhere that holes on heavy, stubborn parts need to be aligned, a bull pin can come in handy. Our Broad Head Bull Pins feature a larger striking surface than standard bull pins for easier, safer use. The broad head also makes the pins easier to grip and easier to remove if they become stuck.Warwood Tool Broad Head Bull Pins are proudly hand-forged in West Virginia by U.S. workers using premium U.S. steel.Quick SpecsForged carbon steelWarwood Blue finishTwo sizes:1-1/16” x 10” (Part #33810)1-3/4 lb.1/4” point1-1/4” x 13” (Part #33820)3-1/4 lb.5/16” point
