This mobile set for weighing vehicles consists of a weighing indicator with printer and two mobile weighing platforms, each of which can be loaded with 8,000 kg. The single platform weighs 14.5 kg and has a carrying handle on the side. The display and printer are housed ready for use in a convenient carrying case.

For weighing, the case can simply be placed on the floor and opened. The robust platforms can be placed very easily according to the wheel positions of the vehicle to be weighed and connected to the display unit in the case via the 10 m long cables. The power supply is provided by rechargeable batteries. The load cells are made of stainless steel and both the case and the connector with the connecting cable are classified according to protection class IP 68. This means that vehicles can be weighed without any problems even in rough everyday industrial conditions and outdoors even in bad weather conditions. Only the devices in the case have to be protected against splash water and foreign bodies.

The standard version of the truck scale PCE-WWSB8-S with two weighing platforms is designed for weighing vehicles axle by axle. The axle load can be determined from the two wheel loads and the total load can be determined from several axle-by-axle weighings. On the display, the truck scale shows either the wheel load, the axle load or the total weight. Weighing indicator The weighing indicator in the handy case processes the signals from up to four weighing platforms connected by cable. The high-contrast backlit display shows the digits of the weighing result in an easily readable 25 mm height. Adjustment and setup of the parameters can be done via the comfortable keyboard with numeric keypad. The following functions are available through the keys: Zeroing of connected platforms before weighing, display of weight of single platforms, sum of several platforms, axle weight, total weight, calculation of center of gravity, summation e.g. for vehicle with trailer or several vehicles.

The internal battery has a running time of 10 hours and can be recharged within 8 hours with a standard external charger. As standard, the weighing terminal is equipped with two bidirectional RS232 interfaces. The thermal printer included in the scope of delivery is connected to one of them. The other is located at the top of the module frame, next to the 4 connections for the weighing platforms, and enables direct transfer of weighing data to a PC. Printer function The recorded values can be printed out directly after weighing via the associated thermal printer. The printouts are configurable and allow the output of up to 4 header lines, ticket number, weighing number, barcode, weight value of each single platform or any possible combination, total weight of the vehicle and, if acquired through the totalizing function, also the total sum of several weighed vehicles.

Possible options for the PCE-WWSB8-S truck scale Total vehicle weight: On request, this truck scale can be equipped with four weighing platforms instead of two. Thus, the total weight of two-axle vehicles with single tires can be determined in one go.

Calibration: As a wheel load weighing system where the number of platforms corresponds to the number of vehicle wheels, the truck scale can then also be used in legal-for-trade applications. If you require a calibrated truck scale, please be sure to specify this when ordering and provide information on the geographical location of the planned places of use. The truck scale will then be adjusted to the place of use and will be delivered with special marking and papers, which are necessary for the later calibration.

High resolution: If you do not need a calibrated scale, but more detailed weighing results, the platforms can also be supplied in high resolution.

ATEX: ATEX versions for zones 1 & 21 and 2 & 22 for use in hazardous areas are another option. Storing weighing data: The truck scale can be equipped with a USB interface to save weighing data directly to USB stick. Other interfaces: A Wifi (WLAN), Bluetooth, Ethernet or RS485 interface or an analog output with 0/4-20 mA or 0 to 10 volts can be integrated.

Rules for installation and use of the truck scale - The installation surface for the weighing platforms must be level and as horizontal as possible. NOTE: Excessive slope will significantly reduce the accuracy of the weighing. - The surface must be able to support at least 1.5 times the load capacity of the weighing platform without sloping. - For accurate axle load determinations, the wheels of all axles of the vehicle should be at the same height. The connecting cables of the truck scale should be laid in such a way that they do not interfere and cannot be damaged. - It is recommended to always keep the same driving direction when the scale is installed in a fixed position. In case of dynamic weighing while driving - Drive through at the lowest steady speed (5 km/h) - Avoid braking during the weighing process. In static weighing with the vehicle stationary - Position the wheels of the vehicle correctly within the centering strips so that the load can be correctly detected. - When the vehicle is positioned, release the brake and turn off the engine.
