The motorized tension-compression test stand is a motorized test station with a force range of up to 500 N. With the help of the test stand it is possible to carry out tension-compression tests. Thanks to the large travel of 270 mm, a wide variety of test specimens, clamping devices and measuring systems with a wide variety of dimensions can be mounted on the motorized tension-compression test bench. The driving speed can be set precisely in 1 mm/min increments between 1 ... 500 mm/min. The set speed and the travel distance are shown on the high-contrast display of the motorized tension-compression test bench.

In addition to setting the speed, the motorized tension-compression test bench also offers the option of switching between automatic and manual mode. In manual mode, the test stand only moves along the path when the corresponding button is pressed. In automatic mode, this occurs automatically until the operator stops the process or a limit switch is hit. The travel distance of the motorized tension-compression test bench can be limited via the limit switch. This has the particular advantage that the operator can limit the travel distance with the limit switches, for example to protect the measuring device before it hits the floor of the vertical test stand or drives into the chuck, thereby causing an overload and damaging the measuring system. At the same time, when using a tensile test, the tensile length can be carried out in a defined manner. In addition to the test bench, PCE Instruments also offers suitable force measurement systems that can be mounted on the motorized tension-compression test bench. Various chucks are optionally available for a wide range of testing tasks. A large range of measuring tasks can thus be carried out with a single measuring system.
