About HTC
HTC Corporation is a Taiwanese electronics company that specializes in the design and manufacture of smartphones, tablets, and virtual reality devices. The company was originally founded as High Tech Computer Corporation, and its early products focused on PDA devices and notebook computers. HTC's Innovations
- HTC was one of the first companies to release smartphones based on the Android operating system, which has since become the dominant mobile platform in the world.
- The company also introduced the first 4G smartphone in the United States, the HTC Evo 4G, in 2010.
- In 2016, HTC released the first commercially available virtual reality headset, the HTC Vive, in partnership with Valve Corporation.
