The 8200 Hot Tap for CTS Flare from Wheeler Rex is a highly thought out well designed specialty tool for the piping professional. Allowing for tapping into a line while under pressure and add a line, drain the system or add a sensor. This ability is essential when the valve cannot be shut to stop the flow. The ingenious design of this tool allows for drilling into active water, air, gas and sewer lines up to 250PSI wither in a vertical, horizontal, or other pipe orientation. This powerful, cleverly designed manual ratcheting tool can cut holes from ¾ inch to 2 inches in diameter in copper pipe (CTS Flare Taps) by choosing the proper adapters for the valve and appropriate size cutters for the size of pipe. The 8200 Hot Tap system from Wheeler Rex is designed to be very portable so it is light weight. The 8200 Hot Tap is intended for easy use by a single pipe professional, so one man can set it up, drill and tap a pipe with ease even in a cramped space. The 8200 Hot Tap comes with its own tool box for quick and easy storage for itself and its accessories. It comes complete with 6515 ratchet, tool box, adapters and cutter shells for making 3/4" (19mm) and 1" (25mm) holes; other adapters cutters and accessories available. It has a handy built in bleed-off valve which allows the chips generated by drilling the hole to be flushed cleanly away. The 8200 Hot Tap from Wheeler Rex also has Mueller Co. 110 corporation stop/valve adapters for ½ inch and 2 inches available.
